More than ever, we are looking for ways to make life easier! We often complicate our lives, adding unnecessary stress. Instead of stressing, design your home specific to your needs to make your life as simple and enjoyable as possible!
Convenient Laundry Location: Okay, we have a couple of our condo floor plans that are the bee’s knees. If you are looking for the easiest laundry location, check out our Foxglove floor plan. This is one of the plans that offers a door from the owner’s closet to the laundry room. How convenient, right? If your floor planning doesn’t offer this, adding a main level laundry for a home with all main level bedrooms is a great idea. If you have a home where all of the bedrooms are upstairs, maybe place the laundry room upstairs. If you prefer to have it on the main floor, maybe consider putting in a laundry chute to make life a little easier.
Drop Zone & Charging Station: We all come in with tons of bags and what not in our hands after a hard day of work. A drop zone is a location right when you walk in that you can set all of your goods. Not only that, this is a great place to put all of your cords for charging. Hide these in drawers that are made for cords so that you don’t have everything hanging out and cluttering the space.
Walk-in Pantry: This is a space many of us now realize the luxury of having. A walk-in pantry offers the ability to store food as well as appliances and we can shut it off so that our guests can’t see! There are many fun options for this space such as adding a counter and outlets to put appliances in, having cabinets, drawers, open shelving, etc. Design this space to fit your lifestyle!
Digital Lock: You’re not home, but your kids need to get in the house and they lost their house key. What’s a great way to solve this issue? A digital lock on any of your doors. There are many options now where you can have a specific code for your kids or send them a one day code to use. Oftentimes, these can connect to your phone so that you can see who is entering and when.
Fitness Room: Since the start of the pandemic, our health routines have changed. If you are looking to cancel your gym membership, why not build a space specifically for working out? You no longer have to take time to pack your gym bag to drive to the gym and back. There are so many options when it comes to room design, flooring, and of course the equipment you place in the space.
Cabinet Design: Many of us love a nice kitchen and with that goes the cabinet design. Having great cabinet space is one thing, but it’s another to have the latest and greatest to organize these. There are so many compartments and gadgets that make it easier to find your spices, favorite pan, and whatever else that’s stored away.
We are always looking for ways to make life as simple as possible. One of the best things about building new is that you can design your home and your spaces to be stylish and functional. What design features would you include to make your life easier?
Every home is custom. Every client is unique. Everyone has choices and selections, and we take the time to consider each of them.
