The Insider Look: Our AVB Home
Every home is custom and unique to each client, and it was so fun to work with this client and create their dream home! They had a floor plan in mind and we helped customize it to fit their needs. Some of the neat features include extra high ceilings - 10' in the kitchen and two-story in the living room. The extra-large windows capitalize on their amazing home site, and one of the fun features is the laundry chute! Lynette said, "AVB was amazing to work with! Building a custom home can be stressful, but we really enjoyed the process. Everyone that helped us was very professional and kind." Thank you for your kind words! A Corner@Drake Story: First Impressions Last
For over 20 years, AVB’s vision for Corner@Drake was to develop a premier destination in Kalamazoo. With a focus on excellent architecture, aesthetics, and property management, we worked purposefully and patiently to accomplish our vision. You will experience this care the moment you pull off the highway and see the breathtaking limestone wall that borders Corner@Drake. Designed by VIRIDIS and Hurley & Stewart to work in harmony with the existing topography and natural vegetation, and brought to life by Greenscape, the landmark Chilton limestone wall fronting Stadium Drive and Drake Road is a testament to our dedication to this development and our community. The rock, transported to Kalamazoo from Wisconsin, is more than a piece of Corner@Drake, it’s the first feature that welcomes visitors to our city, to our home. This rock wall gives our community a sense of arrival. Additionally, featured on the entry sign into the development and intentionally integrated into the architecture of each retail center is that same Chilton limestone. The sense of arrival and intentional cohesive design throughout the development has elevated Corner@Drake from being just another development to the worthwhile destination we imagined.
