Corner@Drake is a premier new retail development located at the northeast quadrant of the U.S. 131 and Stadium Drive in Kalamazoo. While construction on the 40-acre development began in November of 2013, land acquisition and planning took place over the course of more than 20 years as AVB envisioned the long-term potential of the property. The completed project now includes new roadways, utilities, and infrastructure to serve the development, as well as a landmark stone wall fronting Stadium Drive and Drake Road. Corner@Drake also has excellent access to the entire Kalamazoo region, including Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo College, KVCC, and the WMU School of Medicine. The development is anchored by Costco and Trader Joe's. In addition, Sportsman’s Warehouse opened a new 50,000 square foot retail store in the spring of 2020. Two buildings fronting Drake Road offer up to 38,000 square feet of prime retail or restaurant space, an additional two buildings fronting Stadium Drive offer up to 20,000 square feet, and finally, two land parcels, each approximately 40,000 square feet, offer additional prime retail or restaurant space.
