The Legacy Senior Living housing project will provide quality, affordable housing to seniors who reside in Kalamazoo’s historic Northside neighborhood. The development will provide 70 affordable units, meaning that all 70 units will be rent-restricted and leased to qualifying tenants of low or moderate income, designed with energy efficiency, accessibility, and sustainability in mind.
The Legacy Senior Living will feature two modern, three-story buildings offering a range of amenities, including a community room, beauty salon, library, and outdoor gathering spaces. Targeted for seniors aged 55 and older, this $27 million project aims to address the community's need for affordable senior housing while also enhancing the neighborhood's vibrancy.
This initiative aligns with the City of Kalamazoo’s Master Plan and the Northside Neighborhood Association’s vision. With Mt. Zion's congregation of over 2,500 actively involved in shaping the project, the development reflects the community's dedication to providing quality housing options
