AVB’s relationship with Borgess Health has included projects valued at more than $100 million on the main Kalamazoo campus. The Stryker Center was valued at $105 million dollars. This project consisted of over 150,000 SF of new construction and renovation, including departments such as a new cardiovascular laboratory and short stay area, the department of cardiovascular research, cardiac ultrasound, gastroenterology, neurointerventional surgery, neurophysiology, outpatient pharmacy, pulmonary lab, radiology, and same day surgery department. This comprehensive project also included the large atrium and the connecting 950-space parking deck.
AVB has managed dozens of other expansions and renovations at the main campus and at numerous satellite locations around the region. These projects have taken place on occupied campuses, often with medical treatments taking place literally on the other side of the wall.
