The nationwide non-profit organization, Goodwill decided to expand its operations to South Haven, Michigan. The project faced severe challenges such as harsh winter weather. The poor soil conditions forced AVB and Goodwill to push the project four months from the original start date to ensure the safety of the building structure. Once in motion, AVB worked diligently to overcome these challenges, by managing the remediation of the original soil.
The 7,000 SF building includes an enclosed drop-off space for donations, a loading dock area for semi-trucks as well as a dumpster enclosure. AVB was able to overcome the site and weather conditions to complete the project before the busy season in South Haven began in spring.
