AVB partnered with Ascension Borgess, Bremner Real Estate, and Welltower Real Estate to build the new Ascension Borgess Cancer Center in Kalamazoo.
The new cancer center hosts a variety of services including medical oncology, hematology, and infusion outpatient services. The new building features 33 infusion bays, 5 private infusion rooms, 35 exam rooms, an on-site pharmacy, and an on-site laboratory. Additionally, the natural wooded landscape surrounding the facility is on full display in the glass atrium.
Despite pandemic-driven material and manpower challenges, AVB was able to implement creative schedule sequencing throughout the project to successfully meet the schedule goals and complete the Cancer Center on time and on budget.
